USPS “Insufficient address” or “Addressee unknown”: what it means
“Insufficient address” means the carrier couldn't deliver because the address is missing something, like an apartment number, or doesn't match a real address.
What to do now
- Call or visit your local post office quickly with the tracking number and the full, correct address. They can sometimes fix it and deliver.
- Contact the seller too, since they can correct the label details or reship.
What happens if nobody fixes it
USPS sends it back to the sender, usually within a few days.
Next time
Check that your apartment or unit number is in address line 2 in your account settings on shopping sites. That's the most common cause.
