Where to find your tracking number
Your tracking number is the code the carrier uses to follow your package. Here's where it usually is.
If you ordered online
- Shipping confirmation email or text. Look for “Your order has shipped” — the number is often a link labelled “Track package”.
- Your order page. On the store's website or app, open the order and look for “Track package” or “Shipment details”.
- Marketplaces. Some marketplaces show their own reference first. Open the shipment details to find the carrier's number.
If you sent the package
It's printed on your receipt or label, usually under or above the barcode.
What it looks like
Tracking numbers are usually 10–30 letters and digits. A few common shapes:
- LM123456789CN — international mail: two letters, nine digits, then the two-letter code of the sending country.
- 1Z999AA10123456784 — UPS numbers start with “1Z”.
- 9400 1000 0000 0000 0000 00 — USPS numbers are often 20–22 digits.
You can paste it with or without spaces — Any Day Now cleans it up for you.
Still can't find it?
Ask the seller. They create the shipping label, so they always have the number.
