How to track an Amazon package outside Amazon

Amazon packages come in two kinds, and they're tracked differently.

Packages Amazon delivers itself (TBA numbers)

When Amazon's own drivers deliver an order, the tracking ID starts with TBA followed by 12 digits. Amazon doesn't share these with outside tracking services, so pasting a TBA number into any other tracker, including ours, won't show progress.

What does work is Amazon's Share tracking link. In the Amazon app or website, open Your Orders, tap Track package, then Share tracking. The link it makes (it often looks like a.co/d/… or amazon.com/progress-tracker/package/share/…) opens a sign-in-free page with the package's status. Paste that link into Any Day Now and we'll follow the package from it: its status, Amazon's arrival promise and the steps it has reached, with alerts if you want them.

Why the link and the tracking number are different

The TBA number identifies the package inside Amazon's delivery network. The share link is a separate, private token that Amazon creates so you can show the package's progress to someone else without sharing your account or order details. They point at the same package, but only the share link is public.

Packages Amazon hands to USPS, UPS or FedEx

Many Amazon orders, especially from third-party sellers, are delivered by a regular carrier. On the Track package page, look for "Shipped with USPS" (or UPS, FedEx) and a tracking ID that starts with something other than TBA. That number works in any tracker, including Any Day Now, and shows every scan in plain words.
